Founder and lead artist of Lion Ink Tattoo Singapore. Ten years of professional tattooing, a Best of Show title at Singapore’s flagship convention, and a judging seat at conventions from Nakhon Pathom to Rouen.
Realism, and the patience it costs.
Cong Bui works in realism, colour realism, portraiture and large-scale composition, the disciplines with the least room to hide. A portrait is either the person or it is not, and a grey wash either holds its range or it goes flat.
That is why every piece starts with a free consultation and a design drawn directly onto the body area, at real size, before anything permanent happens. It is also why his own work carries its own quotation rather than a promotional rate.

Beyond competing, Cong Bui has trained and guided artists throughout Asia through workshops, private mentoring and professional training programmes, covering design thinking, technical execution, competition strategy and professional ethics.
Several of his students and mentees have gone on to take Best of Show titles and major awards at international competitions of their own.
